The evolution of customization has resulted in a couple of really great breakthroughs. These breakthroughs have come about due to the shift to direct-to-garment digital printers. Now, two major issues with customizing items are no longer problems:
1. There doesn’t have to be a minimum on the number of custom items ordered. Traditionally, most custom printers have required minimums because of the costs associated with producing custom items. For screen printed items, a screen has to be made of the design being printed. To just print a few items using this screen is not very cost effective. Not to mention, additional colors require additional screens, which leads to additional costs.
2. There is no need to limit colors. As we just mentioned, screen printers have to create a new screen for every color printed. Many customers simply choose not to have the additional colors in order to keep costs down. They might not get quite the design that they wanted, but it’s all they can afford. With direct-to-garment printers, there are no screens, so any amount of colors can be printed.
These changes call for greater flexibility, which is why we offer just that in our Design Center. Not only can customers choose any quantity of your products, but they can edit the designs and order several items, each with a different design. Plus, our design center has the ability to let customers add multiple colors to their designs. Customers can also upload their own images through our design center, which is capable of outputting full-color images for print.
